A large, for-profit nursing facility in Philadelphia, Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has 176 beds and a below-average rating for its long-term care services. U.S. News also reported that the facility’s health deficiency score, which measures the number and severity of health violations reported at the facility, was above average.

Recent data shows that fewer residents at Fairview maintained the ability to move, eat, and otherwise function without help than residents at other facilities in Pennsylvania and nationwide. The facility has an extremely low staff retention rate, with just 22.9% of nursing staff remaining employed at the facility year over year. Fairview has also received 12 violations or complaints for fire safety and emergency preparedness–three times the state average.
